Today, NBC, ABC, US News and every Republican attack interest, has completely mischaracterized this President, and in so-doing, undermines US interests in the Middle East and elsewhere on the very important issue of what to do about ISIS.
Today the Press has gotten this story completely & shamefully wrong by NOT presenting accurate facts in all their major headlines and initial statements on this press conference statement.
The question that was asked of the President was, whether "...he would seek Congressional approval for U.S. attacks on ISIS targets in Syria." He responded, "I don't want to put the cart before the horse. We don’t have a strategy yet."
These 'News Agencies' do NOT present factual evidence in their claims in their headlines and opening statements on this important story.
The President was responding to whether we have a military strategy to attach ISIS in SYRIA. This was not a question about Overall ISIS strategy.
NBC' headline and article sentence#1, "President Obama on ISIS: 'We Don't Have a Strategy Yet'" Andrew Rafferty."President Barack Obama on Thursday pumped the brakes on the prospects of U.S. airstrikes against Islamic militants in Syria, saying “we don't have a strategy yet” to deal with the growing threat to the Middle East."
Mr Rafferty, you have completely mischaracterized this President.
ABC "President Obama admitted today that his administration does not yet have a strategy to combat the militant Islamic group ISIS that has seized large chunks of Iraq and Syria." - JOHN PARKINSON and ERIN DOOLEY
Parkinson & Dooley, try again.
CNN: They actually got it right!
The Press might as well acknowledge they are now asking those partisan Republican talking points and questions that are designed to score political points only against the President.
